love loud website

Our mission is to Love God and Love Loudwater.

We want to demonstrate the love of Jesus by being a source of practical help.

The Love Loudwater initiative was launched in lockdown to help people who are struggling for all sorts of reasons.

We as a church firmly believe that no child should go hungry - whether this be during term time or a holiday period, every child has the right to a full belly. It's with this passion, supported and funded by the generosity of many volunteers and @loveyourneighbour's #LoveChristmasLYN initiative that over the Christmas holidays we provided boxes full of food for families in our local community. Each box of food was accompanied by fresh items and frozen meals, provided by our church community. Our hope is to continue this support for as long as is needed, and hope to partner with local business to provide even more boxes to familes that are in need. We were able to support 125 children from over 60 families during the Christmas break - but we believe there are even more families in need within our community and it is our aim that we scale up this support and continue to be a source of practical help.

Artboard 1-12

For many families, providing their children with supplies for schools can be a difficult process. Its not cheap- and with coronavirus impacting many peoples income, we want to be able to offer support in more ways than just food- we have begun collecting schools supplies for families that need them- this is a wide range of items, but practically anything that a child will need for school- pencil case items, school uniform, laptops and footwear are to name but a few.

Over the Christmas holidays we were able to provide our local primary school (Loudwater Combined) with a selection of items that can be used both in school and to support home learning. This was possible due to the kind donations (both financial and physical items) of our church community.

We have also been able to provide 12 Laptops to Loudwater Combined. This will enable some of their students to access content and home school. We would like to thank SoftCat and The COmmunity Church for making this donation possible.

If you feel you are able to offer support in this area, we are always on the look out for items- be it first or second hand. Please send an email to and let us know how you wish to support.

As a church, we would like to hear from residents of Loudwater. We want to better understand the needs of people in Loudwater. If you have any thoughts about what we should be doing to help people, please let us know!

Love Loudwater currently has a large team of volunteers comprised of generous people from St Peter’s Church and the local area who are willing to serve people according to their needs.

We want to respond to real material needs in our community and do the best we can to help people.

Planning your Visit

Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whatever your life looks like right now, we’d love to welcome you to St Peter’s. Everyone’s invited; just come. We meet for our Sunday service at 10am, here’s what to expect when you come:

Most of us hesitate before walking into a place full of strangers, but don't panic – you will be welcome and there's no need to take part in anything you’re not comfortable with. We all come as we are, so there's no need to dress up - wear something that makes you feel comfortable.

Where and When

We meet in the main Church building on the corner of Treadaway Hill and Kingsmead Road at 10am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team, if you're unsure where to sit then our team will help you to a seat.

We serve tea and coffee from 9:45am in the small hall opposite the Church, before the service begins. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Plan your journey:
Our car park is quite small and on Sundays it's reserved for those who have mobility difficulties.
Additional parking is available on the Treadaway Estate opposite the church car park entrance. When making use of the parking on the business estate please only park alongside the fence-line parallel to the businesses. If parking on surrounding residential streets please be considerate as we want to be good neighbours.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up.

Our Service

Our 10am service is an informal service of contemporary worship for all the family. The service begins with a time of all-age worship before children join their groups. Each week we hear a relevant message from the Bible and take time to pray together and respond to what God is saying and doing as we worship. Once a month we share in Holy Communion together.

What about my kids?

We have a great programme lined up for kids of all ages:

  • The Ark (0 months to 3 years)
  • Little Lions (3-5 years)
  • All Stars (5-10 years)
  • St Peter's Youth (11+ years)

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome and worship. We really value worshipping God altogether as a family. At the end of the family worship someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their various groups. You will need to go with your children to their groups and register them as part of our child safety policy.
Please collect your children at the end of the service from their relevant group.
