Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whatever your life looks like right now, we’d love to welcome you to St Peter’s. Everyone’s invited; just come. We meet for our Sunday service at 10am on zoom, here’s what to expect when you come:
Zoom services are new for us all so we understand that you might have questions about what to expect from our services. We understand that it can feel uncomfortable joining a service online but please be assured that you will be welcome and there's no need to take part in anything you’re not comfortable with. You're welcome to have your video on or off, which you're more comfortable with, we all remain muted for the majority of the meeting so you don't need to worry about your dog barking or kids making noises in the background.
Where and When
You'll need the weekly Zoom invite, that changes each week, to join us online so please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to be sent the weekly link.
Our service starts at 10am and finishes between 11:15-11:30am.
Our service leader will begin the service just after 10am. During the service there is a time of sung worship, only our worship leader will be unmuted during our time of worship, followed by an update on any family news, notices and sometimes a time of testimony. Each week we have a Bible reading and a relevant short message from the Bible. Full length sermons are available from 11am on YouTube so make sure you head to our YouTube channel after the zoom service to catch up with that weeks sermon. After the short message we will head to break out rooms for a time of informal discussion, these groups are optional and there is no pressure to join a group. If you choose not to join a breakout room you'll remain in the main meeting where we'd advise you remain muted with your video off. Once breakout rooms close we will join back together for another time of sung worship and usually finish with a time of prayer.
After the service you are welcome to stay on Zoom where you can join a breakout room to catch up with other church family members.
